Pepe the frog artist supports Hillary Clinton

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/sep/14/pepe-the-frog-artist-supports-hillary-clinton This article is about an event during last week where President candidate Hillary Clinton made a claim about a character from an old webcomic series, a character named Pepe the Frog, was a representation of the white supremacist neo-nazi side of the Right wing supporters. This unusual claim has had many backlash and confusion as the comic and character have nothing to do with any political ideology and mostly contain silly jokes. This article talks about how the creator of the comic, Matt Furie is not only not a white supremacist neo nazi but also a supporter of Hillary Clinton, in this article he his interviewed and the transcript mentions how he finds the situation funny and nothing more, because its a "Damn Cartoon Frog". This article also talks about how despite this, Furie is still a Hillary Clinton supporter. This article caught my interest as before seeing this article I initially thought that the comic creator would not feel very happy that such an important figure would call their creation a supporter of a racist ideology, but this article shows that he not only takes it very well and it doesn't phase him, but it also shows that he straight up supports Hillary Clinton. Furie also says in this article that the comic that Pepe is in is "very diverse" as he lists of the variety of characters in his comic. This article was done by the Guardian, a left wing news outlet, as such it makes sense to put light in the situation and humanize Matt Furie who was wrongly accused of being related to facism, and is made to show that he is left wing, which is definitely a positive thing in a left wing newspaper.
